Description

The Auditor of Public Accounts is an independent agency responsible for performing audits of state and local governments. Our mission is to ensure that public resources are protected, accurately valued, properly accounted for, and effectively employed to raise the quality of life for Kentucky citizens. This position will be assigned to our Information Technology Audits and Support Branch, where it will support and assist with all APA information technology services across the state. Specifically, this position will work with the Director of Information Technology to provide technical assistance in problem determination and resolution related to all computer or software-related products and will also provide technical support and assistance to agency staff, in addition to other duties that may be assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining PC hardware, printers, scanners, and all other computer peripherals.
• Experience with Active Directory management tools and IT ticketing software.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot software and hardware-related issues.
• Initiative to be self-motivated, follow through with assigned tasks and meet established timeframes with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Proficiency in documenting all computer, network, and software issues and resolutions.
• Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
